Soulshaker: Music of Soulshaker
Stone Cold Fever
(Soulshaker : demo only)

(c) Frampton, Marriott , Ridley , Shirley( Humble Pie ) EMI Unart catalog (BMI)
This was how we warmed up for the 'Singing Ships' session back in '03 . Being one of my favorite songs of all time , we spent extra time on it overdubbing harp , etc. , and thought to use it as a demo , as it appears here .
Peter Frampton's guitar solo I've always thought of as being one of the most innovative of all time in rock , incorporating jazz and blues . Nothing like it exists outside of his work . Steve Marriott's vocals remain with me as the strongest influence . He was such an incredible singer , and when I listen to this recording , I don't think I got even close . The memory of Humble Pie is one worth keeping .
. . . . . . . . . . . .Ooh , stone cold fever , is hard to see" I've got trouble with my landlord (?)........ ( and that's where I lose it ) As you can hear , I've had to wing it with the lyrics .
There are really no official lyrics to this printed anywhere that I know of. If anyone can help me with the REAL lyrics , I'll re-sing it (ouch) .
The writing credits for the song differ ; the Anthology credits only Frampton , while the album version ( Rock On , A&M) credits the whole band .
Vocals and Guitars , harmonica : Mark Campbell
Rhythmn section : Mike Rieman ( Bass)and Mark Salmon (Drums)
